Today we continued with our MP speeches and got Toby up to speed with how we were doing it.
After this Mr Webb showed us how to tape down wires so that we know for future productions. Taping wires down is very important for health and safety reasons. If there is a dance or a very physical scene, then in the midst of the action, someone may trip and fall over the lights, not only hurting themselves (and potentially others), but also displaces the light for the rest of the performance. If the injury is too serious to continue performing, then the entire performance would have to be cancelled and in the real world, this is not economical (due to refunds) and puts back future performances.
